Night Sky Gazing

On November 11, a "Night sky gazing event" was organised by scientists for society in Patna. During this event, the children were introduced to the basic concept of astronomy and astrophysics, they were also explained about the working principle of the telescope. Afterwards, children observed Mars, Saturn and its rings, Jupiter and its four satellites; Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Children were very excited during this event.

पटना में साइंटिस्ट्स फॉर सोसाइटी द्वारा "रात्रि आकाश प्रेक्षण कार्यक्रम" का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान बच्चों को खगौलशास्त्र व ताराभौतिकी के मूलभूत सिद्धांत तथा टेलिस्कोप के पीछे के सिद्धांत और उसके कार्यप्रणाली से अवगत कराया गया। इसके उपरांत बच्चों ने टेलिस्कोप से मंगल, शनि व उसके वलय, बृहस्पति व उसके इर्द गिर्द परिक्रमा करते हुए चार उपग्रहों; आयो, यूरोपा, गेनीमेड और कैलीस्टो का अवलोकन किया। इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान बच्चें काफी उत्साहित दिखे।
